Here's a little snippet about me...

Hello,
I am currently based in Amherst, Massachusetts and have been covering editorial (press) and sports events throughout New England for the past three years. I am also a freelance commercial, sports, studio, and portrait photographer. I utilize a fully digital workflow and have arena lighting (strobe) capabilities. As some of you may already know, I travel around the United States quite a bit to cover various sporting events.
During my undergraduate years, I shot for the Massachusetts Daily Collegian, which has a local daily circulation of 14,000. Throughout my career with the Collegian, I held the positions of Chief Photographer and Photo Editor. I covered all varsity sports at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) and have a particular liking for Hockey and Lacrosse.
I recently graduated from UMass with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, and will be attending graduate school for my PhD in Polymer Science & Engineering down at the University of Connecticut in the Fall of 2004.
My undergraduate research evolved around reaction and catalysis engineering, concentrating in microwaves and sorption technology. My research group is part of a Nanoscale Interdisciplinary Research Team based at the University of Massachusetts which, collaborates with the University of Connecticut.
I enjoy traveling and learning new things – hence my affinity towards photojournalism and editorial photography. Photojournalism has granted me access to new worlds and introduced me to many different people with diverse backgrounds. I have documented the travels of a prominent Marching Band, roughed it out in the wilderness with a company of U.S. ARMY cadets, and braved numerous riots all for the love of photography. Each event is essentially an adventure of its own…
